Hikes
The Haut-Jura is a playground conducive to walking. According to your desires, we can offer you family walks or more sporty hikes to discover the preserved fauna and flora of the Haut Jura Natural Park. You can choose to walk to discover the lakes, forests, surrounding villages , but also breathtaking views of the Alps and Lake Geneva. Many marked trails crisscross the surroundings, with the most famous being the GTJ (Grande Traversée du Jura), the Tour de la Haute Bienne, the Echappée Jurassienne...
Swimming
Are you more lazy and relaxed? The Lac des Rousses , visible from our garden, is only a few hundred meters from our guest rooms. On site, you can swim, fish, or take advantage of the nautical base to rent pedal boats and stand up paddles.15 minutes from the house, in Switzerland, our favorite is the Lac de Joux, the largest expanse of the Jura mountains.
The bike
Whether you are a mountain bike, gravel or road bike enthusiast, our region will seduce you. In the spring, ride among the wild flowers, in the summer, enjoy the beauty and freshness of our lakes and in the fall, revel in the beauty of the colors of our forests. On the station, a provider can also offer you to discover the FatBike .
We have a closed and secure room to store your bikes, as well as the basic equipment necessary for the maintenance and cleaning of your two-wheeler.
The motorbike
Many bikers have stopped in our cottage. The roads of the Haut-Jura, the passes and the breathtaking viewpoints will undoubtedly not leave you indifferent.
Golf
Les Rousses resort has 2 18-hole golf courses , both just 5 minutes by car from our guest house.
Culture and heritage
On the station, discover the Fort des Rousses and its county ripening cellars . Museum enthusiasts will not be left out with the Espace des Mondes Polaires , the Musée de la Boissellerie or the Musée des Lapidaires.
A short drive away, you can discover the Glasses Museum in Morez, the Pipe and Diamond Museum in Saint Claude, or the Toy Museum in Moirans en Montagne.
Switzerland
Nearby Switzerland is full of cultural treasures: the towns of Nyon, Morges, the castle of Prangins, located on the shores of Lake Geneva are not lacking in charm. The Vallée de Joux will teach you more about Swiss Haute Horlogerie.For an excursion in Swiss colours, take the train to Nyon then cross Lake Geneva by ferry to the medieval village of Yvoire, a change of scenery guaranteed! Geneva and Lausanne are one hour from our establishment.
