General Conditions of Sale - GTC
The Attic of the Redheads
These general terms and conditions of sale are intended for use in booking stays in guest rooms / group lodging at Grenier des Rousses, 6435 route Internationale, 39220 Les Rousses. They constitute a booking contract between Grenier des Rousses and the customer of a stay in a guest room.
Article 1 - Purpose
This contract is intended for the exclusive use of booking stays in guest rooms. The best welcome will be reserved for our guests. The owners of Grenier des Rousses are committed to personally welcoming holidaymakers with all the attention they need to facilitate their stay and their knowledge of the region.
Article 2 - Duration of stay
The customer signing this contract concluded for a fixed period may not under any circumstances claim any right to remain on the premises.
Article 3 - Conclusion of the contract
The reservation becomes effective once the customer has sent the owner a deposit of 30% of the total price of the stay or stopover, with a minimum of one night per room reserved.
After receiving your deposit, we will send you a written confirmation by email. Once the deposit has been paid, the reservation becomes firm. By paying the deposit, you confirm your full agreement with our general terms and conditions. If the deposit is not paid, we will unfortunately not be able to confirm your reservation and it will be considered null and void. We then reserve the right to recover the room.
Prices include all charges, excluding tourist tax (to be paid on site).
Article 4 - Rates
The prices indicated on the website www.legrenierdesrousses.fr are confirmed to the customer in the amount including tax, in the commercial currency of the establishment, and are only valid for the duration and type of room selected.
All reservations, regardless of their origin, are payable in the local currency of the establishment, unless special arrangements are indicated on site. Unless otherwise stated, additional services are not included in the price. Taxes (local taxes, tourist taxes, etc.) are to be paid directly on site to the establishment. The prices take into account the VAT applicable on the day of the order and any change in the rate applicable to VAT will be automatically reflected in the prices indicated on the invoice date. Any modification or introduction of new legal or regulatory taxes imposed by the competent authorities will be automatically reflected in the prices indicated on the invoice date.
Article 5 - Cancellation of stay by the customer
a) Modification
Any modification is only possible after agreement from ""Grenier des Rousses"" and may result in additional costs.
b) Cancellation before arrival at Grenier des Rousses
In case of cancellation of the reservation before the start of the stay, compensation will be due as follows:
If the cancellation occurs more than 15 days before the arrival date, the deposit will be refunded in full.
If the cancellation occurs 15 days or less before the arrival date, the deposit will be retained by the owner
The cancellation of a service or stay by the customer due to bad weather or lack of snow is the sole responsibility of the customer. No refund can be claimed and the usual cancellation/modification conditions will apply.
c) non-appearance of the client
If the customer does not show up before 7:30 p.m. on the day the contract begins, this contract becomes null and void and the owner may dispose of the room. The deposit also remains the property of the owner, who reserves the right to claim payment of the balance of the stay.
d) early departure
In the event of early departure during the stay: the full payment for the service is retained by the owner. No refund will be made.
e) Cancellations due to weather or events
Cancellation of a service or stay by the customer due to adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to lack of snow, is the sole responsibility of the customer. These circumstances do not constitute a valid reason for cancellation without charge. In such cases, the usual cancellation and modification conditions will apply, and no refund can be claimed.
Similarly, the cancellation of a sporting or cultural event, for whatever reason, does not constitute a valid reason for cancellation of the reservation without charge. The standard cancellation and modification conditions will remain applicable, and the customer will not be able to claim any refund on this basis.
Article 6 - absence of withdrawal
For reservations made by mail, telephone or internet, the customer does not benefit from any withdrawal period, in accordance with article L121-21-8 of the consumer code relating in particular to accommodation services provided on a specific date or at a specific frequency.
Article 7 - Cancellation by the owner
When the owner cancels the stay before the start of the stay, he must inform the customer as soon as possible by email or registered letter. The customer, without prejudice to any claims for compensation for any damages suffered, will be reimbursed immediately for the sums paid. He will also receive compensation at least equal to the penalty he would have incurred if the cancellation had been made by him on that date.
Article 8 - cancellation insurance
Please note that no cancellation insurance is included in our rates. We strongly recommend our customers to subscribe to one.
Article 9 - arrival time
The customer must arrive on the day specified when booking, no earlier than 5 p.m. (room availability and key collection time) and no later than 7:30 p.m. The customer must notify the owner by telephone (number listed on the website www.legrenierdesrousses.fr, if, by force of circumstances, he is forced to arrive after this time slot. If we are unable to accommodate you, we will leave the key at your disposal and give you the necessary instructions.
Article 10 - Departure time
Check-out time for rooms is 10am at the latest. From 11am, an additional night may be charged.
Article 11 - payment of the accommodation balance
The balance payment is due upon arrival of the client or at the latest the following day before 12 noon. Consumption and additional services not mentioned in this contract will be payable at the end of the stay to the owner.
Article 12 - tourist tax
The tourist tax is a local tax that the customer must pay on site to the owner who then pays it to the Public Treasury.
Article 13 - change of room
Without the customer being able to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to change the room initially reserved by the customer for a room of the same or higher capacity. In such a case, the cost of the reservation remains unchanged.
Article 14 - Capacity
This contract is established for a specific number of people. If the number of guests exceeds this number, the owner is able to refuse additional guests. This refusal can in no case be considered as a modification or breach of contract at the initiative of the owner, so that in the event of the departure of a number of guests greater than those refused, no refund can be considered.
Article 15 - Pets
Pets are not allowed. This refusal can in no case be considered as a modification or breach of contract at the initiative of the owner, so that in the event of the customer leaving, no refund can be considered.
Article 16 - non-smoking establishment
The entire guesthouse is non-smoking. In order to guarantee the tranquility of the premises and the comfort of the guests of Grenier des Rousses, it is requested in particular not to smoke or vape inside the rooms and common areas. Failure to comply with these rules may result in an additional cleaning fee equivalent to the price of one night during the period concerned.
Article 17 - art of living, use of premises
Respect for a certain art of living is required of all guests to guarantee the tranquility of the place and the comfort of their guests. The customer agrees to return their room in perfect condition at the end of their stay, to systematically declare any damage for which they are responsible and to assume the repairs and their possible cost. It is specified that unless otherwise stated, the kitchen is not left at the free disposal of guests. No meals can be taken in the rooms. Private areas are not left at the free disposal of customers. Any behavior contrary to good morals and public order will lead the establishment to ask the customer to leave the establishment without any compensation and/or without any reimbursement.
Article 18 - minors
Guests' attention is drawn to the fact that minors staying on the property are under the sole and entire responsibility of their parents or persons having authority over them.
Article 19 - Force majeure
Force majeure means any event external to the parties that is both unforeseeable and insurmountable and prevents either the customer or the establishment from fulfilling all or part of the obligations set out in the contract. Cases of force majeure or fortuitous events are considered to be those usually recognized by the case law of the French Courts and Tribunals. Each party may not be held liable to the other party in the event of non-performance of its obligations resulting from a force majeure event. It is expressly agreed that force majeure suspends, for the parties, the performance of their reciprocal obligations and that each party shall bear the cost of the resulting costs.
Article 20 - Complaints
Complaints relating to the non-performance or poor performance of the reserved services must, under penalty of foreclosure, be brought to the attention of the owners in writing within eight days after the date of departure from the establishment.
Article 21 - Liability
Grenier des Rousses cannot be held liable for any loss, forgetfulness or damage to personal belongings during its guests' stay. The photographs presented on our booking platform are not contractual. Even if every effort is made to ensure that the photographs, graphic representations and texts reproduced to illustrate the establishments presented give as accurate an overview as possible of the services offered, variations may occur between the time of booking and the day of consumption of the service. The establishment cannot be held responsible for the non-execution or poor execution of the reservation in the event of force majeure, due to a third party, due to the customer, in particular the unavailability of the internet network, inability to access the website, external intrusion, computer viruses or in the event of prepayment not authorized by the cardholder's bank. Any reservation or payment that is irregular, inoperative, incomplete or fraudulent for a reason attributable to the customer will result in the cancellation of the order at the customer's expense, without prejudice to any civil or criminal action against the latter.
Article 22 - Data Protection Act
In accordance with Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms, you have the right to access and rectify data concerning you. We undertake not to transmit the information you have communicated to us to other companies or organisations under any circumstances.
Article 23 - Acceptance of these conditions of sale
Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of these conditions of sale.
Special conditions
internal regulations of the property
Parking is free and private. In order not to disturb other occupants, we ask you not to park with your engines under the windows.
Many games, books and activities are made available to you free of charge. They must be returned in the same condition as when they were made available to you. Any damage/incident must be reported to us.
Internet: The WIFI network covers a large part of the building. We will provide you with your access codes free of charge upon your arrival. Our guests are responsible for the use of the internet access made available to them during the rental period and for their browsing. Le Grenier des Rousses cannot be held responsible in the event of a breakdown, problem related to the guests' equipment, or reprehensible use.
